Physicochemical Potential of Balanites aegyptiaca Seed Kernel Oil from Northern Cameroon for Biodiesel valorization

This research work reports the physicochemical potentialities of Balanites aegyptiaca kernel oil for biodiesel valorization. seed was sampling from Pitoa, Maroua and Moutourwa localities located North Cameroon extracted using Soxhlet apparatus. The free fatty acid composition oils determined. Among three samples, those Pitoa shows higher yield (56.6 %). All Refractive index these were ranged in ASTM their kinematic viscosities small compared to EN ISO 3104 standard. Acid values measured all less than 14104 standard iodine accordance with 14111 standard, whereas, saponification value samples (139.5 ± 0.07) (123.6 0.04) (131.5 0.06) Peroxide lower 10 meq/Kg. Unsaturated acids sample (78.8 %) (76.9%) (77.7 indicate that B.aegyptiaca obtainable as (50.7-56.6%). good properties profile which can be valorised a feedstock production biodiesel.
